Except of your one mobile content you can also make your .mobi domain the collecting place of mobile content from the .com, .net, .org, .info, etc. version. Makes .mobi the only choice!

If my telephatic powers are telling me the right thing, I guess that he is saying that if you have several domains on different extensions but with slightly different content, you will use .mobi for your mobile website, no matter what. Thus, your .mobi will be the only common point of information for mobile devices, making this extension more valuable than any other.
(still a bit confusing though. Maybe I am wrong and didn't get what he meant!)

Make sure your .mobi domain contains all mobile content relevant on your domain name and .mobi will be the one and only!
So if the same .com domain has a mobile version you put the link on your .mobi
if the same .org domain has a mobile version you put the link on your .mobi
etc., etc.
Let's make dotmobi a mobile content supermarket!!!

So if I understand you correctly, you are suggesting to use .mobi's as a portal or directory to ALL mobile friendly content relevant to the domain name.
So to use gaming.mobi as an example, post links to all gaming related mobile sites regardless of the TLD of the destination site, just as long as it is mobile friendly. In terms of usefulness to visitors I think this approach has merit over a parking page, especially considering most, if not all, parking services available today for .mobi domains have links to non-mobile friendly sites. Existing relevant mobile friendly sites may be difficult to find but this could very well be a worthwhile method of very basic development.
There is one site I've developed like this, it's the name of a CMS I am fond of and if you visit my .mobi site I have a link to the mobile friendly version of their user forum. My .mobi url is much easier to remember than their cryptic URL to the same content. As more mobile related info comes available for this CMS, I'll add links to that content as well.
