Annoying RSS feed

When I click on "New Posts" almost half of the results I get are from an RSS feed, which for me is uninteresting stuff that I would rather not see.
I thought we had a discussion about this a while ago and the RSS feeds were taken out of the "New Posts", but they seem to be back again. Is that a result of the vBulletin upgrade? Please let me know how to disable those.

The only RSS Feeds that were requested by members to be removed were the ones from the "Sedo" and "Mobility Industry News".

The reason the New Posts is getting spammed with RSS Feeds is not because anything changed since the upgrade, but because there is clearly some problem with a particular article titled "Update: Mowser Assets Find a home at dotMobi - Washington Post" that keeps repeating endlessly and is clogging up the New Posts (just now it had repeated at least 6 times in the New Posts when I checked).

I have no idea if this is a problem with the Google News RSS feed or that particular Washington Post article that might be triggering so many feeds.

If you don't count that particular article (which we delete as soon as we see it), I think you'll agree that the New Posts is quite clean of RSS articles. Only RSS feeds specifically about "dotMobi", "mTLD", or "Dev.mobi" appear in the New Posts and those are occasional and articles people normally do not want to miss.

I'll try and get in touch with the Washington Post to see if they can fix this problem with that particular article.

OK, I've implemented a crude fix to the now-infamous "Mowser" spam feed. The RSS Feed is still grabbing all Google News articles that include the word "dotMobi" but is now specifically excluding any article with the title of that Mowser article. I don't know any other way to fix this and have no idea why it keeps getting spammed.

Try lifting your patch in a few days, I contacted the Washington Post about the problem, hopefully they will look into it on their end which is where I think the problem is.
