Hi,
I'm very happy to state that I have just discovered that scent.mobi sold for $1,553 on a Sedo auction. I created the auction, after being ***ered $250.I'm pretty pumped.I think it was a great price. What are your thoughts?

Nice one boats ... congrats.
Watch this one develop as it has savvy end-user or motivated domainer with a hot idea written all over it. Bidding seemed to indicate that buyer 1 was going to grab it no matter what. ... BTW ... a little birdie told me that the plural was under contract right around the time the auction for yours started. ;-)
And watch the auction at SEDO for "fragrances" (http://www.sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php?language=us&auction_id=31862&tracked=&partnerid=) which ends in two days. Following right behind the buying of the two "scents" .. coincidence ??? ... I don't think so. As the singular version is industry-owned, either they are attempting to build out the group of niche terms or we may have a new player.
Smart business "end users" getting into the mobile (and mobi) game this early and scooping up nice generics like these at reasonable prices are taking very, very little risk by doing so. A good pure generic term can always be built out and/or branded in order to hopefully reap large gains down the road.
I like to see it when these guys "get it".

Did Jeff buy "fragrances" & "scents"?
I only mention it 'cause he's always going on about giving his 2 scents ;-)

You're a smart guy, acc....:)
...I was the losing high underbidder for both scent.mobi & fragrances.mobi...!!....Building my 'Beauty.mobi' niche...
I'd be very interested to see who won each of these names....First, to bang his/her head - then, to pat him/her on the back.....:)....I took them to over $11,500 for fragrances.mobi....but it was obvious someone was going all out...
I agree...either a VERY motivated domainer - Or, these auctions could have been an end-user...

Well, I'm sitting by the phone with 'profumi.mobi' (Italian for perfume the preferable plural), ready to take your call...:coo2l:
Could put a deal together with 'trucco.mobi' - (make-up).
